The white demo V12 Vantage Roadster is currently being displayed at the Salon Prive motor show in London. But it looks like the person who manages the Salon Prive page on Facebook is not entirely up to speed with Aston Martin naming conventions.
Because on Facebook, the picture below is captioned:
“The amazing new Aston Martin V12 Vantage Volante“.
Ouch… Oh well, at least they spelled Aston Martin right.
(It’s amazing how often people say and write “Austin Martin“.)
The V12 Vantage Roadster is on tour, together with his good friends, the V12 Zagato and the new Vanquish. This beautiful threesome is touring around Europe, in what Aston Martin calls “the Power Beauty Soul tour“.
The red V12 Vantage Roadster that was spotted earlier has popped up again. This time near the entrance of the Nürburgring. Taking a closer look at the color, I now think it is Flame Orange, a color that was first seen on the DBS Carbon Black Edition.

A dark gray (Meteorite Silver?) V12 Vantage Roadster has been spotted while doing some fast laps around the Nordschleife.
Personally, I think the color doesn’t really fit the car. This car needs a real color, like Fire Red or Cobalt Blue. But forget the color, listed to the sound this thing makes!

A red V12 Vantage Roadster was spotted today, near Venlo in the Netherlands. Spotter racegamez spotted the car and uploaded his pics to dutch car spotting site AutoJunk.nl.

More than a week later than expected, but it’s here, the official press release from Aston Martin about the V12 Vantage Roadster. The full text is at the bottom of this post, but really, there’s nothing new here. It’s the exact same information that I already published on Monday last week.
But they did release new photos of the V12 Vantage Roadster. And not surprisingly, these new pics are showing the same “V12 AML” car that was spotted in London this weekend.

Last Saturday, I already posted about the white V12 Vantage Roadster that was spotted in London by Alex Penfold. At the time, only one photo was available on his Flickr and Facebook page. But in the meantime, more photos have appeared on GTSpirit.com.
I contacted Alex, asking whether I could also post these photos here and he gave me permission to do so.

Wow, the first V12 Vantage Roadster has already been spotted!
Photographer Alex Penfold has captured this beautiful white roadster in London:
Just got confirmation from Aston Martin Lagonda that my V12 Vantage Roadster is going to be #002 of 101!
How cool is that 
Also, they reported that my “Allocation Date” ( = start of production ) is October 13, 2012. Which probably means my Roadster is going to be one of the first cars built.
The early production date also means I have only 10 days left for the final specification. Ouch… Going to visit my dealer tomorrow to do a first round of specifying.
I already know it’s going to be Cobalt Blue, with lots of carbon and black.
Wow, that was fun! Yesterday’s post with the full details and first pictures about the V12 Vantage Roadster went viral all over the internet!
First dutch car blog AutoBlog.nl picked it up, then TopGear.nl and dutch newspaper Telegraaf.nl. Soon car related sites all over Europe starting taking over the news and pictures. Later in the day, after WordCarFans.com posted the photos, it exploded all over the world. Today still more and more sites are replicating the big news
